Our cottages have been converted from traditional barns to create three
self-catering cottages which are full of charm and character. The cottages
are set in their own grounds overlooking their enclosed gardens and a
small young orchard. They are situated 0.5miles from the cliff tops of
Bolberry Down and 1 mile from the picturesque village of Hope Cove and
it’s pet friendly beaches.
Small shops are nearby in the village of Malborough with a wider range
available in the market town of Kingsbridge. Equally close by but in the
opposite direction of Kingsbridge, is the sailing centre of Salcombe;
excellent for a variety of water sports as well as a good range of eating
places.
As well as in Salcombe there are several eating venues in the nearby villages.
However, we would love you to come and sample the fine cuisine served
in our hotel on Bolberry Down; Port Light. Pets are welcome
in the hotel as long as they are well behaved and kept on a lead at all
times. We do ask that pets are never left on their own in the cottages.

Cottage
This is the largest of the cottages with three bedrooms. On the
ground floor there two bedrooms and a bathroom with an additional
separate toilet/shower room. One of the bedrooms is a double and
the other is a twin. Upstairs is the third bedroom which is a twin.
Also, a light, spacious open plan kitchen and living room with views
across the valley. |

the Doorstep
For keen walkers the cottages are less than half a mile from the South West
coastal path where you can enjoy spectacular views and appreciate the variety
of wild flowers and birds. Further afield Dartmoor provides an expanse of
countryside waiting to be explored. The scenic town of Salcombe, the market
towns of Kingsbridge and Totnes, and the historic sea port of Dartmouth
are all within easy reach.
Some of the activities available nearby include sailing, windsurfing,
swimming, diving, horse riding and golf. Events to be enjoyed in the South
Hams range from the Dartmouth Regatta to the Kingsbridge Extravaganza.
Bookings
We take bookings on a Friday to Friday basis in high season and short
breaks inNovember. Guests will be able to occupy their cottage from
3pm onwards and are asked on departure to vacate by 10.00am. The cottages
are privately owned so we do not ask for a booking fee. However we do
ask for a security deposit to be made payable with the balance. Credit/Debit
Cards are accepted. Linen and towels are provided at no extra cost and
the electricity and gas is also included. |
