The Area....

Bolberry Down lies between Salcombe and Hope Cove on the South West coastal path and is an ideal place to enjoy this magnificent area. Walk west to Bolt Tail or east to sandy Soar Mill Cove or merely sit and enjoy the views from the cliffs with their great variety of wild flowers and birds.

A particularly good time to visit Bolberry Down is in the evening, when the sight of the sun setting over the sea will be an unforgettable memory.
Activities nearby include sailing and boating from Whitestrand Boat Hire, boat trips in Salcombe, windsurfing at Thurlestone and golf at both Bigbury and Thurlestone.

A walkers paradise

Nearly 450ft above sea level, Port Light enjoys a unique cliff top position, set amidst acres of National Trust Coastal Countryside between Hope Cove with its thatched cottages and small but lovely beach, and Salcombe the famous yachting haven as featured on ITV's lifeboat series.
The scenery is outstanding with wildlife literally on the door step, including badgers, foxes with their cubs, rabbits and peregrins, making it an ideal base from which to enjoy the natural beauties of southernmost Devon.

Well behaved parents with children are most welcome at Port Light, but we do kindly ask that they exercise considerate control while with us. We also welcome dogs but again ask the owners to respect other visitors and keep their pets under control and on leads at all times. Our lovely position makes an ideal place for dog walking.
